Friends@Brentside (F@B) is a new group of parents, carers and friends of the school, working to support pupils at Brentside High through fundraising and other activities.
We have one meeting a term from 19:30-20:30. All meetings take place immediately after the school’s Parent Forum meetings and our last meeting of the year is on Wednesday, 5 June.
We are always looking for people who are willing to lend a hand.
Events you can help with this term:
New Intake Evening on Tuesday, 18 June from 18:00-19:30, when Brentside High School will welcome next year’s Year 7 pupils and their parents. F@B will be providing refreshments, handing out information and organising a second-hand uniform sale on that evening.
Arts Showcase: Wednesday, 10 July: 18:00-20:00. F@B will be selling refreshments.
Would you like to help us with any or all of these activities?
Can you bake a cake? Donate some savoury snacks? Volunteer to make some cups of tea on the evening? Hand out some leaflets?
Would you be willing to help us sort out and price donations of uniform? Or perhaps you have items of school uniform in good condition that you’d be willing to donate?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, get in touch with us. Here’s how:
1. We are meeting on Wednesday, 5 June from 19:30-20:30 in the conference room to get ourselves organised – come along and join us if you can.
2. If you can’t make our meeting but would like to help with any event, emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org and letting us know how you would be able to help
3. If you don’t want to be involved in the event but could donate some food, email us on email@example.com letting us know what you can offer and we’ll get back to you nearer the time, and tell you where and when to bring your donation (NB Due to possible allergies, no nuts please).
4. If you would like to donate uniform, drop it off at the school office, clean and in a plastic bag with a label marked ‘Donation for Friends@Brentside’.
…and if you can’t help this time, keep an eye on the school website where you’ll find information on our meetings and activities in the school newsletter and on the ‘Parents’ page of the website.
