Remembering Ms Roach

August 2025

Over the summer break, we lost a cherished member of our staff, Ms Roach, who passed away after a courageous battle with illness.

Ms Roach joined Brentside in 2011 and served our school with unwavering dedication for 14 years. She was a valued member of the administrative team, later becoming Personal Assistant to the Headteacher. Ms Roach played a key role in supporting aspects of human resource management within the school as well as communicating with external agencies, the Governing Body and many parents and carers.

Ms Roach’s kindness and professionalism touched the lives of many. Her grace and strength throughout her illness have left a lasting mark on the school community. She remained positive, determined, and quietly resilient, deeply committed to her work and to the wellbeing of those around her.

Those in the staff team who worked most closely with Ms Roach particularly valued her sense of humour, her generosity and her exceptional baking skills! Her organisation, dedication and readiness to help others supported all of us.

We will remember Ms Roach not only for her contributions to our school, but for the person she was- strong, kind, humble, and full of care, someone who gave so much yet always remained humble.

Ms Roach’s family and friends are in our thoughts.
