ART FOR ALL

Art club is a place where students can come to enhance their art skills and discover more artists that they may not get a chance to engage with inside lessons.

Over the past few months, we have been looking at Pablo Picasso’s The Weeping Woman series following on from the tragedy depicted in Picasso's epic painting Guernica. The response to the artist’s work was a way for the students to break free from drawing perfectly and instead find a creative outlet in being playful with art. The students had fun working in this way as it wasn’t as restrictive as traditional art styles. They created some interesting Picasso illustrations and then vibrant paintings.
